Memberships for the 2020 International Discworld Convention have officially sold out!

After two waves and a few minutes of chaos the doors are shut for general purchase, but we’re not quite done just yet.
Congratulations to our new members and we look forward to seeing you at the con. For everybody else - read on.

 

What happens now?

Those who were unlucky enough to be unable to book and pay for a membership before we pulled the plug are put onto the Waiting List. If you missed either of the waves, you can also add yourself to the Waiting List right now.

From there our hardworking Membership team will manually allocate the remaining 100(ish) memberships during the first week of November. These lucky people will receive an email informing them of their membership and will then be given 7 days to log in and purchase. If you do not respond within a week then your membership will be offered to someone else.

After that the Waiting List begins properly. How this works is:

  1. A member wishes to sell on their membership(s) and contacts membership@dwcon.org
  2. The first appropriate person on the waiting list will be chosen
  3. Membership will put these people in email contact with each other - they need to arrange payment between themselves.
  4. When payment is completed, the membership will be transferred over to the new member.

Please remember that all is not lost! The waiting list moves incredibly quickly and many of you will be fortunate enough to benefit from another’s bad luck.

We would like to say an enormous thank you to the Membership and Website teams for all their hard work in making this such a smooth process, and we look forward to welcoming as many of you as we can in 2020.
